New Names

I've given a new name to each piece in the collection. So far, I've just called them by their defining pattern characteristic, but by the 3rd time I wrote out "balloon sleeve dress" I knew I needed to call it something else. That name is not only long and boring and unflattering, it doesn't define the finished product.

Everything got a new name. Except the Princess Pencil Skirt, because I still liked that one. The Riley Skirt, the Hendricks Tank, the O'Hara pants... Some are named after famous redheads, some are just cool names I liked, or versions of both.

Now that everything is named, photographed, and available on the website, the next step is finishing my line sheet so I can take these pieces around to local boutiques and start getting my stuff in stores!

It's all coming together! It's weird to be at this stage where most of the creative work is complete; now I just have to get out there and start selling it! It’s a very new, very different type of challenge, but I’m so excited for it!
